The Ultimate Landing Page Blueprint (Infographic)

A good landing page for your business can be the difference between a successful marketing campaign and a complete waste of money. Even if your product or service is really good you won’t get any sales or enquiries if visitors are landing on a page that doesn’t take them on a journey which ultimately leads them to buying from you, registering for your webinar or at least making an enquiry to work with you.

How To Create A Good Landing Page That Works

There are a handful of tools that we suggest you look into to help you create a stunning landing page that actually works and provides you with results.

  1. LeadPages
  2. OptimizePress 2.0
  3. InstaPage
  4. Unbounce

The Ultimate Landing Page Blueprint

A good landing page will be made up of the following 6 elements:

1. The main headline

The purpose of the headline is to get people interested enough to read the rest of your message.

2. The hero shot

The hero shot is the main photo of your product or service, or of you if you are selling consulting or personal coaching.

3. Data collection

Email signup forms, contact forms, surveys are all examples of good data collection methods.

4. The call-to-action (CTA)

Every website needs a CTA which is an element that solicits an action from a visitor that you want them to take.

5. Benefits

Why should the visitor use your product or service? How does your product or service benefit the customer?

Get into a habit of asking yourself ‘why?’ or ‘so what?’ when listing features so that you can focus on the benefits that each feature offers.

6. The second CTA (known as the ‘safety net CTA’ to catch anyone who missed the first one)

Not everyone will follow the first CTA. Some visitors may need to read through more material before deciding to take the desired action.

Below you can see an infographic which shows you all of these elements and how they should actually be laid out. Thanks to Kissmetrics for creating this infographic.
